High Performers go Japan

In order to enrich front line colleagues' knowledge of the Japan headquarters and factory; to elevate their technical skills and to recognize their remarkable contribution, each year we send high performers/outstanding apprentices for a 5-day Japan study trip.

The 5-day study trip includes a visit to the Kodaira Training Center in Hana-Koganei, MELCO headquarters, maintenance site(s), Inazawa Works, MELINA Testing Tower and some famous buildings in the city.

The participants were impressed by the comprehensive and well-designed training facilities at Kodaira Training Center including the various lift & escalator models and components. It makes trainees to understand easily and improve their skills effectively. At the Inazawa Works, the scale of the factory is large and the management is well organized. The automated production process achieved a high level of efficiency and quality. The trip allows participants to have more understanding of the manufacturing process and test methods of elevators and escalators
.
The trip was an eye-opener to all of them. Besides technical know-how, they gained a better understanding of the company and the high level of enthusiasm and safety consciousness of the Japanese colleagues.
