Safety First

We offer different training courses for our colleagues.

All new workers must take a specialized safety course in order to learn knowledge about safety management, accident prevention as well as safe operation of lifts and escalators. Only then can they protect themselves when they fully understand the safety issues in the elevator industry.

Moreover, all new staff will attend a detailed induction program in our Safety Experience Training Centre designed to help them familiarize with the job requirements and adapt to the workplace as quickly as possible.

We provide a wide variety of training opportunities to newcomers and employees for effective development of human resources. These include systematic on-the-job training, technical training, specialized training, overseas training and compliance training.

Safety Experience Training Centre

Mitsubishi Elevator Hong Kong Co. Ltd. established a safety experience training center to enhance employees' safety awareness. In addition to the general verbally reminding employees to pay attention to industrial safety, our aim is to let employees experience the serious consequences of neglecting safety measures in an interactive way.

The training centre consists of a number of facilities designed according to accident cases happened in the elevator industry. This allows employees to experience and feel the situation of accidents through their eyes, ears and body. Experiences include: safety belt being pulled, falling from height, finger trapping by rotating parts, falling object, electric shock, slipping, etc.

Safety experience facilities include:

Experience through Direct Touch & Feel

Trainees experience the accident through personal experience.

Proper wearing of safety harness

Falling from height

Experience through Feeling

Trainees experience the accident through a media.

Experience through Observation

The instructor simulates the accident, and the trainee observes the simulation and feels the accident through their eyes and ears.

Through hands-on experience, the instructors can also instantly pointed out the inadequacies of the trainees' safety behaviors at work and improve them immediately. The trainees can better understand the causes of accidents, and the meaning and importance behind the safety work practices. Thereby, trainees can improve their safety awareness and work with the right safety behavior consciously.
