Mitsubishi Elevator Hong Kong Company Limited ("HMEC", formerly known as Ryoden Lift and Escalator Company Limited), a specialist with more than 50 years experience in vertical transportation systems, is dedicated to providing superior Mitsubishi equipment and round-the-clock quality services to the public within the spectacular heights of Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China.

HMEC supplies, sells, installs and maintains lifts and escalators manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Japan. Since the 1960's, the company has achieved a remarkable record of selling Mitsubishi lift and escalator in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China. Many of them have been installed in prestigious office buildings, hotels, high-rise residential and shopping complexes.

To keep pace with the ever-changing world, HMEC is always committed to quality services, safety and technological advancement. HMEC introduced and marketed Mitsubishi's Thyrister Control Gearless Elevator System and variable voltage and variable frequency (VVVF) lift control system; installed a fully computerized Mitsubishi's lift in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China. HMEC also introduced the unique spiral escalators to the region.

In 1994, HMEC has successfully secured the ISO 9001 certification to prove our dedication to quality in lifts and escalators. Furthermore, in 2009 and 2010, we were also awarded the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certificates respectively, which show our commitment to environmental sustainable developments and occupational safety. In 1995, despite severe competition from other renowned elevator contractors, HMEC has succeeded in securing the contract to supply and install 91 units of Mitsubishi lift for the Hong Kong International Airport's Passenger Terminal Building. Till now, HMEC has supplied more than 200 units of lift and escalator for various facilities and buildings in Chek Lap Kok (the airport island).

In 1999, by applying innovative technology of permanent magnetic motor, HMEC has installed Mitsubishi's passenger lifts with a maximum speed of 9 meters per second in Cheung Kong Center, Hong Kong. The company has completed elevator systems for one of the skyscrapers in Mainland China - the Jin Mao Tower in Shanghai. In 2007, HMEC has completed the installation of two unique spiral escalators for the Venetian Hotel in Macau.

HMEC strives for continuous improvement and introducing new technology. In 2010, HMEC adopted Mitsubishi's "Controls-overlay System" and "Designation Control System", the latest technology at that time, in upgrading the elevator service at Gloucester Tower. In 2011, HMEC secured the Sogo Department Store escalator modernization project and introduced "Energy Recycling Technology" to the Hong Kong Housing Authority's Kai Tak public housing project. In 2012, Mitsubishi double-deck elevators started to operate at Hysan Place. In 2014, we applied the scaffoldless installation method (Guided Suspended Working Platform) to lift installation in large residential projects. In 2018, HMEC introduced the Mitsubishi Destination Control System (integrated with Turnstile System) in Manulife Place.

HMEC's dedication to safety and quality was recognized publicly by the numerous awards from government departments and clients, such as the Hong Kong Housing Authority, Airport Authority Hong Kong, Occupational Safety and Health Council, Labour Department and Construction Industry Council etc. These awards reinforce HMEC's momentum of pursuing excellence in lift maintenance services.
